Well, it only took 16 years but the Good Lord sent us a little boy!!!! We officially adopted JAKE ANDREW on Nov. 1. This Thanksgiving will be 1 year that we have had him in our home. He is such a Blessing. And to Doug Marshall.......An AMAZING Man and Husband, you are a true testament to what a man will go through for a woman he loves. Our little guy has certainly taken up my free time and keeps me stinkin' busy!! :} My mom made the little cowboy outfit!
Thank yall soooo much for the emails and post, yall are so SWEET!!!!

Been watching little wrens and chickadee's fluttering around in my shed out back {there is a little spot above my doors where they can get in and out}.....there is something so delicate & musical about the little chirping of tiny wrens and black cap chickadee's that is so darn Sweet, I just love it!!!

I have been so Busy with work stuff and several other things, hoping to stop in for a visit with everyone asap! Hope everyone is enjoying the weather...it's really nice here, but I sure feel the heat of the summer coming {ugh!}

Not sure what this plant is with the curly~Q's....it just popped up in my ivy out back about 2 or 3 years ago. It's tall and I think it looked like a sunflower, but can't remember {I don't think sunflowers have thorns}...........does he curly vine look familiar to anyone?

What are YOU lookin' at!?

A crane {or technically a heron....has that dark orange color eye....anyone know specifically?}.....visits often, usually never have my camera when I see it.
It visits the water in the creek and has a ton of little fish in there I'm sure they are snacking on....

Another little bee....will have to look this one up, not sure what species it is...

Been Super busy here, one of the many "to~do's" I have been working on is my Sweet Mother's pages for her creations and photos. I have Amazing parent's and we are so Blessed to be such a close knit family. My Mother is a One of a Kind Jewel....how many girls {that are 38 yrs. old} can say they have never had words with their Mother! She has always been very talented in anything she does.....painting, decorating, sewing {clothes, pillows, teddy bears, rabbits, etc}, making Anything: Altered Art, decoupage....starting years ago when I was a little girl, before I knew what any of this was :)

I have been looking for a Dress Form for a long time, only seen 2 or 3 and none of them did anything for me visually. My mom saw this scrolled metal one out one day and I went to buy it, brought it home and thought a few minutes what I could do to "make her whole" as it was just an open~scroll, plain outer shell....started stuffing her with tissue and sprayed it with tea stain and glitter when I got done. I'm not much on stark white tissue {or anything stark white for that matter}, wanted it to look aged. Then I started pulling the tissue to make her a "skirt", put on one of my vintage blouses, a necklace my mom made, a cheap metal piece I bought a long time ago for a "Crown" and added wings for finishing touch.

The other day inside the house, I could hear the squirrel out back "chattering"...usually they are talking to something, usually one of the cats out back....as it's a distinctive noise they make. But, I also heard my cat meowing and chattering {they usually chatter to birds, but they will do the same to squirrels}, I went to the back bathroom where Marlo {my cat} was in the window and she was chattering at the squirrel too, then the squirrel would chatter back. This went on for several minutes, then the squirrel had enough and took off over the roof.

Over the years all of my sweet kitties have found their favorite hiding spots. Marlo has had a good one for about 2 weeks, she is normally in the bay window, out on the pool table, or at my feet. I have looked everywhere, in all the good spots, never could find her at certain times. Kept going back to look under the bed in my art room and noticed the material under my box spring....sagging....when it was not and should not be sagging. The dust ruffle was hiding her I guess, when I pulled up on it, I saw this:

Obviously, she did a little scratching with her claws making a hole big enough for her little tush to squeeze through.

Feb. 11th~~~Back home.....in time for beautiful SNOW :) We are getting even more than what we got Christmas Eve. Taking a break from working to take a few pics of the snow...not something we see alot of here~

I had a delightful box waiting on me when I got home the other day with this Adorable Rabbit waiting to hop out of the box! It was made by talented Jen at Jennifersdols, click her to name visit her shoppe. Aren't the rabbits shoes so cute with the jewels on them :) But to my **Surprise** Jen did make it, but it was a gift from my Super~Sweet friend Jayne!!! We will be out of town {further South working} from Monday {Feb.8th} until Wed. or Thurs {Feb. 10~11th}, but still should be able to check mail~

This boy kitty visits us everyday, don't think he has a home. Having had cats all my life, I had to take a double take when he first came around, as he has "thumbs" on his paws. My mom said we should name him "Fonzie"....seems fitting~

Happy New Year!!! Hope everyone had a Wonderful Holiday! I'm finally feeling better from all my sinus mess {seems to be alot of that going around!}....had almost 3 weeks of that...ugh! Trying to catch up on work and fun stuff, will stop by and see what yall have been up too asap!!

Constantly moving~rearranging~redecorating all my little decor in the house....the paint is a faux finish of Creme~Brulee and Antique White, kind of a soft tan, looks a little mustard color here due to the lighting being a little dark~

A special visit from Mother Nature on Christmas Eve....always a delight~

Trying to make "sister" banners between etsy and my website....
I have a couple of chandeliers myself, but these 2 are from friends' houses.....I added candle light flame to one to give it a "candlier" look. The drapes are from my house, "altered" to look like Opera stage drapes....

Thank You so much to those who came to my Sale! Due to having a cold {that hit me like a sack of bricks Sunday, the day after my sale} and not near enough time in the day, I didn't get to take as many pics as I would of liked........but here's a few :)
The first few are of my decorated Front Entry Hall.....I take the door off and decorate it for my Christmas Sale. Couldn't get far enough back to show all at once, tried to take a a few pics of each side.
Further down is one of my stacked cabinets I put twigs, cedar and all kinds of decorative stuff on/in it {there is so much you may not be able to see all of it}.....Madai, you will see some pretty glitter stars up there ;)
The last cabinet stays like that year round, never want to to put those holiday pretties up~

Knob Ornaments....these have been in one of the cabinets in our gameroom for a couple of years. I love vintage ornaments {esp. the small boxes}....I keep them out year round. I made room in this particular box to gather old door knobs which looks sweet to seperate dried roses as well~

Here is my response:

There was something about the little girl in the shadow box I did {about year & half ago), sitting on the nest in such the sweet,young, innocence of a child......Fastforward to the piece Joanna created as the little girl's "older self" sitting in a colorful bed of roses.....in her grown maturity, confidence, spiritual~ self in coloroful bloom~
